These spaces are purposeful, composed, and designed to endure. Hardscape forms the underlying framework of Palcic’s work, shaping circulation, gathering, and utility through careful proportion, refined detailing, and durable materials. Planting is used deliberately and sparingly, favoring low water, climate appropriate, and fire resilient species selected for texture, rhythm, and longevity. The result is landscapes that feel layered and architectural rather than decorative. Across larger or more complex developments, Palcic prioritizes outdoor environments that remain human in scale and quietly expressive. His work reflects a strong commitment to coordination, constructability, and material integrity. Each project is developed collaboratively with architects, designers, and clients to produce landscapes that are resilient, functional, and enduring. Prior to founding TimothyJohnLA, Palcic served as a Senior Associate at Mia Lehrer + Associates, contributing to a range of significant projects including the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, a boutique hotel in West Hollywood, and the TreePeople Center for Community Forestry in the Santa Monica Mountains. During this time, he also worked closely on numerous bespoke private residential landscapes. While rooted in California, TimothyJohnLA collaborates with clients, architects, and developers nationally and internationally on projects aligned with the studio’s design values. The practice continues to deliver thoughtful, well resolved landscapes that balance architectural clarity, environmental responsibility, and long term performance.
